The vision of the laboratory is to conduct cross-disciplinary research on the generation, processing and realizing the value of big data using data- and knowledge-driven approaches, to bridge the gap between big data theories and methods, and industrial applications and services, and to generate high academic and industrial impacts.
Focus on:
Big data processing and analytics (e.g., representation learning and fusion for cross-domain multimodality data)；Big data systems and networks (e.g., data-driven edge cloud computing resource management, and multimedia content delivery)； Big data applications (e.g., social media, intelligent transportation, smart healthcare)；Big data and artificial intelligence (e.g., big data intelligence)；Big data and Quantitative Social Science (advanced methodologies and practices in psychology, including but not limited to behavior big data, big data behavioral experiments, virtual reality psychological intervention, psychological issues in human-machine interaction)
