RESEARCH INTERESTS

1.  Polarization detection and imaging: to develop novel polarization sensitive detection and imaging techniques and new ways to extract information from polarizations parameters, use the new findings for quantitative classification of the microstructure of complex media such as biological tissues.
2.  Polarized photon scattering in turbid media: to develop the theory, microscopic and macroscopic models, computation techniques and simulation programs for understanding the behavior of polarized photon scattering in anisotropic turbid media.
3.  Multi modality optical microscopy and applications: to develop or implement new modalities of optical microscopy techniques for biomedical applications, such as wide field or laser scanning fluorescence microscopy, SHG and Raman microscopy, optical coherence tomography, fluorescence fluctuation spectroscopy, etc
