Prof. Lixin Miao is currently the director of Logistics & Transportation Division in the Graduate School at Shenzhen of Tsinghua University and the founder of the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Logistics Engineering & Simulation, Research Center for Modern Logistics, Joint Research Center for Digital Logistics & ITS, and Transportation Planning Research Center of Urban Planning & Design Institute.

He has taken charge of more than 30 research projects, including the project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National 863 Program of China, the National ‘973’ Key Basic Research Project, and the National Key Technology R&D Program of China. As one of his achievements, he has taken charge of the Logistic Public Information Platform and six logistic core software on storage, transportation and distribution. A software has been popularly used by more than 150,000 people in Guangdong Province.

Professor Miao authored 11 books and published more than 110 papers. He has been granted more than 7 software copyrights & patents. He has tutored more than 70 Masters and 17 PhD. Students, hosted 11 Post-doctors and 1 visiting scholar. He has set up the Double Master’s Degree Program with National University of Singapore, which was recommended by INFORMS ONLINE for its distinguished student performance.
