Research Interests
My research aims to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms of organ development and tissue regeneration, as well as to establish novel imaging and other detection tools for genetic and aging related diseases. Current research projects have been mainly directed to investigate eye development, ocular cell regeneration and vision losses caused by retinal degeneration, vascular disorders, and lens cataracts. New projects are also designed to develop advanced optical and/or electrical imaging systems, biochemical tools for early detections of molecular and cellular information in different organogenesis and related pathological conditions. The goal of my research is to develop new technological tools or medicine to diagnose, prevent, or cure human diseases.
