This course focuses on basic mathematical tools to study large scale networks under steady-state assumptions, such as the sparse matrix technique, the Wood bury matrix identity, update of factor tablesafter small disturbance, network partition and equivalence, and parallel and distributed computations. Power networks will be used as examples in many cases but methodologies presented in this course are applicable to a variety of engineering problems.
