• Direction of Research:

    Smart Grid and Renewable Energy Lab aims at a more intelligent, secure and optimal power system operation and provides fundamental mathematical theory and algorithms. The lab also focuses on planning and operation for Energy Internet and Integrated Energy System (IES), including planning and operation of Transmission/Distribution/Microgrid/IES, development of IEMS (Integrated Energy Management System), application of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data technology etc. In addition, the lab is developing transmission and distribution automatic inspection technology based on online smart devices and expert system, as well as high-voltage external insulation testing & monitoring.

    Perform theoretical research and application technology on key factors such as efficiency, safety and environmental protection of transportation, logistic, and industrial systems under systems thinking, optimization, intelligent instruments, and big data technology. Our research concentrates on transportation, logistics, supply chain, big data, social network, and new energy applications. Research topics include transportation management, intelligent vehicle-infrastructure cooperation system and autonomous vehicles, supply chain management and operations management, emergency response, green technologies and sustainability topics. The research methodologies include optimization, mathematical modeling, simulation, data analytics, and network analysis.   • Direction of Research:

    The Sensors and Microsystems Lab uses micro/nano fabrication technologies as the core to address issues related to design, process and application of micro sensors and actuators, flexible and wearable systems, implantable devices, and intelligent systems based on multi-sensor data fusion techniques.


    Focus on:

    High performance micro sensors, flexible materials, and micro/nano materials.Applications of micro sensors in wearable systems, non-invasive blood glucose detections, AR/VR, robotic tactile sensing, olfaction, etc. Artificial intelligence system based on multi-sensor data fusion


  • Direction of Research:

    With the rapid development of modern science and technology as well as the miniaturization of electronic devices, we begin to enter the post-Moore era. Towards the internet of everything (IoE) in coming future, we need to overcome the global challenges on the need of broad bandwidth, compact, low power consumption,low cost and functional photonic devices. Photonic Integration technology will play its unique role with the intrinsic advantages of light, to support the further development of future information technology, and opens up a new chapter for us. Based on this, the main research goal of Nano-Devices Laboratory is to investigate the novel optoelectronic effects in micro/nano photonic structures, and to study the core technology of our fabricated photonic devices for sensing and communications applications.

    To do the research on the cutting-edge theory and algorithm in artificial intelligence and machine learning, the core technologies of intelligent sensor network systems, sensory data platforms and analytics, robotics sensing and human interfacing and cooperating; to establish a big sensory data Industry-University-Research alliance that focuses on behavior recognition, medical consultation, environmental detection and early warning, energy analysis and prediction in the fields of smart city, smart building, intelligent environment and intelligent medical system; to standardize the sensory data acquisition, transmission, access and processing and serve as a specification provider.
