Jointly established by Tsinghua University (THU) and the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) with the support of the Shenzhen Municipal Government, the Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute (TBSI) is committed to exploring modes of cultivating university-government-enterprise tripartite cooperation according to the concepts of interdisciplinary, internationalization and industrial partnership. In March 2019, Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS) was jointly founded by Tsinghua University and the Shenzhen Municipal Government as a further expansion of the Tsinghua Graduate School at Shenzhen and the Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute. SIGS aims at bringing together world-class faculty members and postgraduate students, tackling global challenges through cutting-edge research and international collaborations, nurturing the next generations of global leaders.
